――   PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Faculty of Fine Arts project in Zamalek balances heritage preservation with modern functionality. The design addresses student growth and space inefficiencies while respecting the character of one of Cairo’s most distinguished neighborhoods.

The ground floor is opened up for free movement, and generous staircases double as seating areas that encourage interaction, discussion and creative exchange between students.

The facade uses exposed brick to complement the surrounding buildings, with carefully placed openings that frame views of the landscaped areas. A sculptural circular entrance highlights the main access point and comfortably accommodates high student traffic.

The basement is dedicated to parking, freeing the upper levels for studios and learning spaces. Together, these moves optimize space, enhance flow and foster an inspiring environment for creativity.
