Professor Yasser Mohamed El-Sayed is the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Helwan University. He is also the Founder and Chairman of SARH for Architectural Studies and Consultancy, Head of the Architecture Department, and Coordinator of the Sustainable Architecture Program, where he leads initiatives focused on environmental responsibility and innovative design approaches. A distinguished academic and practicing architect, he holds the position of Professor of Architecture at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Zamalek and is also the Founder and Chairman of the Madameek Cultural Center. He earned his Ph.D. in Architecture from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 2006 and brings over 30 years of academic and professional experience in architecture and urban development.

He previously served as an expert consultant to the National Organization for Urban Harmony and currently holds the position of Engineering Advisor to the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development at Helwan University. In addition, he is the Architectural Consultant to all faculties of Helwan University (a total of 22 faculties), and is a Registered Consultant Architect with the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate – Architecture Division, with a specialization in educational facilities.

Professor Yasser is also an active member of the accreditation committee responsible for evaluating architects registered with the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate – Architecture Division, and serves as a Quality Control Consultant for project execution within the same institution. He is the Chairman of the Housing Association for Architects, an organization for graduates of the Faculty of Fine Arts.

Throughout his academic career, Professor Yasser has taught a broad spectrum of architecture-related subjects across multiple institutions, both within and outside Helwan University. He has supervised a wide array of graduation projects, Master’s theses, and Ph.D. dissertations, and has actively contributed to academic councils, university committees, and student initiatives. He is frequently invited to speak at national and international conferences and has served as a reviewer in the fields of architecture and architectural education.

In parallel with his academic contributions, Professor Yasser has played a leading role in the design and supervision of numerous architectural projects, both in Egypt and abroad. His work spans residential, administrative, touristic, commercial, and educational sectors. He has also participated in high-profile architectural competitions and urban development initiatives, offering consultancy services to a wide range of governmental and academic institutions.

His distinguished career and multifaceted contributions underscore his pivotal role in advancing architectural education, professional practice, and cultural development in Egypt and the wider region.
