――   PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Mosque of Al-Arqam in New Cairo is an interior design project that creates a calm, focused space for prayer and reflection. The design concept gently directs the attention and senses of worshippers toward the Qibla wall, making it the natural focal point of the prayer hall.

Carefully placed lighting emphasizes the spiritual significance of the Qibla, while soft indirect light washes the ceiling and walls to create an even, peaceful ambience throughout the day and night.

The four main structural columns and beams are subtly illuminated, celebrating their presence within the space and turning the structure into part of the architectural expression rather than an obstacle.

Abstract Islamic motifs are applied in a minimal and refined manner, with a restrained palette of warm neutrals and deep green carpeting, reinforcing the spiritual atmosphere without overwhelming the architecture.
